This Cookie Policy explains how Komment AI Inc. (“Komment,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with our websites, hosted applications, accounts, and cloud services (collectively, the “Services”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal information.
This policy does not govern cookies or other technologies used independently by a third-party website or service that you choose to visit, even if the Services link to it.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small piece of information stored by a website through your browser. Cookies can be temporary and expire when the browser session ends, or persistent and remain until their stated expiry or until you delete them.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, software development kits, and other methods that store information on or access information from a device. This policy uses “cookies” broadly to include those technologies where appropriate.
First-party cookies are set by Komment through the Services. Third-party cookies are set by another provider through functionality included in the Services.
3. Why we use cookies
Komment currently uses cookies that are strictly necessary to authenticate users, maintain requested sessions, apply access permissions, and protect the hosted application.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled through a Komment preference control because the relevant account functionality cannot operate without them. We do not use the current cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or behavioral profiling.
4. Current cookie inventory

- Purpose: authenticates the account and authorizes requests to the hosted application
- Contents: a signed authentication token containing the account email, account identifier, access role, and an impersonation marker where applicable; it does not contain your plaintext password
- Duration: the cookie lasts for the browser session by default and its token expires after eight hours; when persistent login is selected, the cookie and token last up to 30 days
- Protection: HTTP-only, Secure in production, and SameSite=Lax
- Category: strictly necessary

- Type: first-party HTTP cookie
- Purpose: makes limited session metadata available to the hosted application so it can apply the account’s identity and access role and recognize an administrative support session where applicable
- Contents: base64-encoded session metadata; base64 encoding is not encryption, and this cookie does not contain your password or authentication token
- Duration: browser session by default, or up to 30 days when persistent login is selected
- Protection: Secure in production and SameSite=Lax
- Category: strictly necessary
Both cookies use the root path for the applicable host. Logging out clears them through the ordinary logout flow.
5. Optional and third-party technologies
As of the effective date, the Services do not use optional analytics cookies, advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or browser storage for cross-context behavioral advertising. For that reason, Komment does not currently present a cookie-consent banner.
Some Services may direct you to a third party, such as an identity provider, repository provider, or payment provider. A third party may use cookies on its own website or service under its own cookie and privacy notices. An ordinary link to a third-party website does not make that party’s cookies part of Komment’s inventory.
If we introduce an optional technology, we will update this policy and provide any notice, consent mechanism, preference control, or opt-out required by applicable law before using it.
6. Your controls
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Consult your browser’s settings or help documentation for the controls available to you. Blocking or deleting Komment’s strictly necessary cookies will sign you out or prevent authenticated areas of the Services from working.
You can also end the current authenticated session by logging out. If optional cookies are introduced, we will make any legally required choices available through the Services and make withdrawal of consent as easy as giving it.
7. Updates and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy when the Services, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and update its effective date. If a change requires consent, we will request it before the relevant optional technology is used.
